Old Harry Jones.

I met an old man on the streets today.
He walked up to me and he asked me "Sir,can you spare some change"?
And so I reached into my pocket and I gave him my last dollar.
Then he held out his hand and said "Thank you sir,I'm Harry Jones".
And I'm more than just a bum,a victim of society.
But once I used to be a millionaire.
And I said "then whatever happened to ya,to make you live this way"?
He said,"You can't judge a man son by the clothes he wears or the money that he makes.
"You gotta fight for your life 'cause it's a crazy mixed up world.
OO,it can drive you mad.
OO,drive you outta your head.
Fight for your life dont wanna be last in line.
Oo..Ah.. I don't wanna live in a world,a world without love.
We must've sat there for hours by the railroad tracks,
and he was tellin' me the story 'bout the life he'd had of old Harry Jones.
And he said,"Son I was never one to cry in my beer,but this old world is gettin' more and more screwed up everyday."
And then,"One day I met JESUS I was laying down in my penthouse suite 20 miles east of the San Francisco Bay.
And he told me to lay down all my wordly possessions cause a fortune awaits you in heaven.
So I took everything I had in this world and I gave it all away.
Poor old Harry Jones died one day.
Every once in a while I'll stop by and I'll pay respect to my old friend.
If only there were more folk like old Harry in the world,
It'd be a better place to live.
LORD I sure miss old Harry Jones.
'Cause he was more than just a bum.
LORD I knew Harry well.
I used to love to hear the stories he used to tell me,and sometimes,
I'll walk down by them lonesome railroad tracks and I swear I'll see him there all alone.
He was the kindest man I'd ever known.
So if you see an old bum a walkin' down the street,
And your opinion takes you only as far as your eyes can see,
then you have never known a man like Harry Jones.
Poor old Harry Jones,a man I knew.
